. . . mod "lotus" armchair by artist & furniture designers erwine & estelle laverne.
the "lotus" chair was designed in 1958, an abstract sculptural adaptation of their pieces a year earlier. it had a molded fiberglass seat & cutout back with a combination of sharp angles & soft curves.
