. . . little bee by chris cleave

. . . i bought this book over the weekend, it's been all over blog land with so many good reviews.

this is how the back cover reads "We don’t want to tell you what happens in this book. It is a truly special story and we don’t want to spoil it...Once you have read it, you’ll want to tell your friends about it. When you do, please don’t tell them what happens. The magic is in how the story unfolds."

sounds good to me! i can't wait to find that quiet moment this weekend, so i can get started! i love getting lost in a book & this seems like one i'll be getting lost in + what lovely cover illustrations - i love the vibrant orange!

so tell me, what are you reading?

modrocks . . .

. . . a few weeks ago i did a post on modwalls, here's another pic i came across on their website - it's from their modrocks line.

this pic shows their recycled clear glass pebble tile, which is just beautiful! but what i'm really loving is this giant fuchsia ottoman with what looks like glossy white lacquered legs!

i love the pop of a bold color against an all-white setting + wouldn't you love to have an ottoman like this to plop down on when trying to figure out which shoes to wear?

little girl blue photography . . .

. . . i came across little girl blue on deviantart.com a few weeks ago & fell in love with her work! it's very dreamy & absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

these are just a few of my favorites...i hope you enjoy & are inspired... happy sunday night!

to see more of her work go here:

milk every moment for all the pleasure you can get from it. when you say, "it is my dominant intent to look for things that feel good today. no matter where i'm going, no matter what i'm doing, no matter who i'm doing it with, it is my dominant intent to look for what i'm wanting to see, to look for things that feel good," & the more you develop the habit of that kind of vibration - the more the Universe understands that that's who you are! & so, the more you have access only to those kinds of things! - abraham-hicks.com

topshop boutique . . .

. . . wow what a first day to spring here in dallas! it's cloudy & cold & they're saying we may get a snow shower tonight!  oh well, not much to do but patiently await the sunshine!

here are some of topshop's latest spring pieces + what lovely photography! i love photos of dainty, ruffled & romantic pieces of clothing hanging in the oddest of places...enjoy!

. . . i have this thing for tile - i can't seem to get enough of it! i can sit for hours looking at pics of kitchen backsplashes & bathroom tile! i came across these by modwalls a few weeks back...so many colors & options + i like that modwalls gives back...an excerpt from their website:

"We’re living the way that we want to by doing what we love, and selling a product that is both fun and functional to customers who appreciate it.  We believe that everyone in the world has the right to feel fulfilled and know that their work serves a purpose. To that end it is one of our business goals to help employ those who may not otherwise have work that is readily available to them. Another goal is to have the opportunity to donate some of our profits to those in need.

Here are some of the non-profit organizations that we support:

  • Since 2005 we have contracted withHOPE Servicesto produce our modwalls®custom glass tile blends in a local workshop for their developmentally disabled adult clients.  Hope’s Mission is to assist people with developmental disabilities to live and participate in their communities.  We have benefited greatly from the amazing work and attention to detail that Hope’s clients provide in making each modwalls®custom blend a real work of art for our customers’ architectural installations.
  • From April 2007 through April 2008, we contributed a portion of every sale toKiva.org.  Kiva lets you lend a specific amount of money to entrepreneurs in the developing world - empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty." - via: http://www.modwalls.com/
